Shane Osteosarcoma Fund is being established in honor of Shane, a courageous young boy battling osteosarcoma, to bring hope and support to children and families facing this devastating diagnosis. Osteosarcoma is a rare and aggressive bone cancer. This devastating disease not only threatens young lives but also places immense emotional and financial strain on families. Despite its severity, osteosarcoma remains under-researched and underfunded.

Our Plan
Establishment of the fund/foundation
Once the fundraising target is achieved, we will officially establish the Shane Osteosarcoma Fund under a trusted umbrella foundation (e.g. USZ Foundation, Fondation des Fondateurs or Kyria etc.) to ensure professional governance and long-term sustainability.
Funding research
We aim to support innovative studies focused on understanding osteosarcoma, developing better treatments and improving survival rates. Initial grants will be allocated to projects with the greatest potential for immediate impact.
Supporting families
We will provide emotional and practical support to families facing the challenges of an osteosarcoma diagnosis. This includes access to counseling and resources to navigate medical treatments.
Raising awareness
